Looking for a honest opinion

Often I feel a big fiasco, and I wonder where I am going wrong, I'm not evolving. I would like you to help me telling me where I am failing, What I need to do to improve. People always bring me friendly words, but just one; "very good, amazing, lovely" ... does not help, I still feel that I am a shit artist and should give up everything and stop it. Can anyone tell me where I have failed?
